Solar Eclipse in Aquarius, Saturn in Aries Horoscopes

Eclipse season is officially here, and there are some other major Astrological events that are tied into this energy. We also have a Mercury Retrograde coming up on February 26th in the sign of Pisces, too. (Yay!! -sarcasm-)

The Solar Eclipse in Aquarius is occurring now as I write this newsletter. As I mentioned above, this eclipse is a super-potent New Moon, the first of several eclipses in this sign stretching to the beginning of 2028.

This eclipse has a “new beginnings” feel to it, as it is also technically a New Moon and it is occurring near the North Node. Keep in mind also eclipses are like skipping stones in a body of water. As it hits the water it ripples out for a long time. An eclipse at the time may not feel like a big deal, but it represents a seed that sprouts over time.

This eclipse is making a very loud square to Uranus, the great awakener, the planet of change and disruption.

This energy can certainly reveal a surprise twist or surprise you didn’t see coming, especially if you have significant placements in the late degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Leo, and especially Aquarius. On the world stage, it speaks to surprises, sudden information drops, and world leaders (especially the U.S. President) encountering surprise challenges from the people they govern. Trump’s chart is hit pretty exactly by this eclipse and I’m wondering if we are going to start hearing of some challenges he is experiencing, especially connected to his health. Keep in mind this will unfold over the next 6 months and not necessarily immediately.

Additionally, this eclipse hits the chart of the USA’s Moon. The Moon in mundane Astrology represents the common people. I feel like this is the start of major disruption and change - as if the people are unhappy and will be making their voices heard.

Saturn in Aries, Saturn Conjunct Neptune:

Saturn, planet of time, karma, lessons, and structures has entered Aries on February 13 where it will remain until April 2028.

Saturn represents elders, hard-won wisdom, and tradition. Aries represents beginnings, pioneering, and independence and is not known for its patience.

This is the time to embrace doing your own thing, creating your own lane, and blazing your own trail. Also - given that Saturn can struggle in the sign of Aries also indicates we will need to learn to be patient and watch our impulse while Saturn in in this independent, pioneering sign.

In the collective, we may see old-world structures and institutions struggle and fail during this time as well. Saturn technically struggles in the sign of Aries as the two energies are generally mis-matched. The structures we are used to relying on are going to go through a big reset in the next several years. Education, banking, the way we run the world is reaching a crisis point.

This is because Saturn is approaching a conjunction with Neptune, planet of higher consciousness and vision later this month on February 20th. Neptune dissolves what it touches. This conjunction happens every 36 years. This conjunction was active in 1989. In November 1989, the Berlin Wall fell and we entered into an unexpected, completely new period of foreign policy and trade. I expect something of similar magnitiude and even more, as this conjunction is happening at 0 Degrees Aries, the first degree of the zodiac. Something entirely new is going to be born, and so this new beginning may feel like some major shocking endings taking place this year.

As this eclipse is ruled by Saturn, this represents that on some level we are entering a portal into something completely new. But for these new things to be born, there are some things that will transition and fall away first.

So, while this eclipse personally can mean new beginnings, don’t be discouraged if it’s not showing up like that at first. Sometimes beginnings can look like endings at first, or simply it can feel confusing!

Lastly, get lots of rest and stay hydrated during this eclipse energy. Solar Eclipses are notorious for feeling draining.
