New Moon in Scorpio 2026 (November 8th, 2026)

The New Moon in Scorpio arrives on November 8th, 2026, inviting you to sit with the darkness and stay a while. The Scorpio New Moon is an invitation to receive wisdom from your spiritual ancestors and to begin connecting with the longer and colder nights on the horizon. Scorpio is a sign that represents the death and rebirth cycle, with an emphasis on the “death” part of this equation. We may want to think about what are ready to part with and let go of. The Moon in Scorpio is not necessarily a cozy and nurturing place, but if you sit with it, you’ll find deep clarity. Scorpio is not a sign that shies away from harsh emotional truths. This New Moon offers that in spades.

At the same time, this New Moon is ruled by a very loud and passionate Mars in Leo, the planet of fire, cutting, and fire.

The Moon in Scorpio makes a very jarring square to Mars, signaling that we may be taking very bold moves over the next two weeks, or instead we may be inclined to cut out what isn’t working in our lives. Mars’ square indicates perhaps a difficult conversation that needs to be had or that we need to take actions that may feel uncomfortable in the short term, but good for us in the long run. I named this lunation “cutting out the poison” for a reason - think about detoxing or severing something out of your life, or gathering your courage to strike and initiate something.

Just 5 days later on November 13th, both Venus AND Mercury both station direct, in Libra and Scorpio respectively. If you’ve been feeling like you’ve been a little off these past several weeks dealing with these retrogrades, you may start to feel like you’re head is finally above water - more clarity, and life starting to move forward again, especially connected to the Libra and Scorpio part of your charts.
